Default SmrtGuard issues

I recently downloaded and installed a program called SmrtGuard from BB appworld. It seemed to have some interesting features, but I don't think it works properly. The one feature I was most interested in was the call blocker. You input phone numbers, and it is supposed to block the calls. It does block, but only after it vibrates, and does a very short ring. Is it supposed to do this? The other features seem to be more designed to recover or locate your phone if you lose it. Also allows to wipe data. Since I have installed it, my phone seems to lock up solid, requiring battery pulls to get it functioning again. Is anyone else having similar experiences with this program? Could it just be the Torch? Any input would be appreciated.
