Default looking to upgrade need some info

I have a tour and have no real reason to upgrade other then I think I want to.
I did the compare on blackberry and they say the screen size on a 9630 9700 9780 9800 are all the same size. the 3 I can see they are all basically the same phone other then some internal stuff. I can get the 9780 for less then the torch, I thought I wanted the torch because of the larger screen. The things I would upgrade for would be wifi and larger screen. The torch has the pull out keyboard which I was wondering if that would make it poor balance in your hand. I really like my keyboard.

If you really like what you have, why go to something that you might not? If it isn't broken, why try to fix it with something else?

I went from a BB 9000 and an iPhone 3GS to a 9800. I liek the 9800, not a real big fan of touchscreens though. I haven't noticed any isues with holding the device. I actually prefer to use it with the keypad out rather than tucked under.

The screen RESOLUTION would be the same between many of these screens, but the physical size of the Torch screen is much larger than the 96xx and 97xx models. The screen also does the pinch to zoom which makes it much more readable. For things like e-mails, web pages, and watching videos, I find the Torch MUCH more readable than my 9700 was. The keyboard is essentially identical to the 9700, but I did find navigating the 9700 to be pretty quick since I was very used to using shortcuts from the home screen. The Torch has a nice interface for a touchscreen, but the 9700 is very ergonomic if not for the tiny screen.

All in all, I'm happy I upgraded to the Torch, but the 9700 was a great phone, and if I had to keep it I would still be pretty happy. The Torch gives me a few new bells and whistles that I appreciate - mostly larger screen and more device memory...
