My Torch has worked beautifully for a month (what an improvement on the Storm 1) but now it has developed a small problem.

When I delete emails using the "all previous messages" option, the device does delete the messages but does not refresh the display so it looks as though the messages are still there.

If I then scroll down, the messages disappear as they are highlighted. Also if I close the message viewer and reopen, they have disappeared.

This is a nuisance rather than a serious problem. However I'd like to fix it if possible. I'm also intrigued as to why it just started to happen recently.

Have you tried a battery pull yet? If not, with the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds. Then test.

Yes, tried a battery pull. It's beginning to look more like a setting than an error. Another issue is that sometimes I open the messages app when it says there are (say) 8 messages but only one is displayed. If I open the message then close it, the others have magically appeared.

Just to be sure, do another battery pull, do it with the power on, and wait 2 or 3 minutes. I don't know what setting it could be. Maybe you are executing a search without realizing it, but I doubt it. Sometimes though it takes another longer battery pull to fix a weird glitch.

Problem solved!

Under Options/Email Reconciliations I had set emails to delete on mailbox and handlheld. I presume what I was seeing was just a long delay whilst it communicated with the mail server. I set it to delete on handheld only and now they delete perfectly, as before.

I've always had mine set to delete on mailbox and handheld. I don't think that was the issue. But glad it's working right again.
