meaning of symbols Just got a 9800BB and when I hooked it up to home wifi noticed there is a lock by the signal. Does this mean that there is secure internet or that the signal is locked? Is there a way to make BB use wifi to get data instead of my data plan when home? Also, what does the green wheel with lines on the outside mean by some of the applications? (ex. setup and my wifi) Thanks in advance. |
Re: meaning of symbols The lock icon when you're on a website does mean you're on a secure site. ANYtime you are connected to a WiFi router, your device will use the WiFi connection for all data: browser, email, BBMessenger, etc. I'm not sure about your green wheel with lines, not sure what you mean. |

Re: meaning of symbols The green wheel with lines that appears in the wi-fi setup screen indicates that the device is trying to connect to the wireless network , I think. I notice that it appears periodically on the wi-fi set-up screen, even when you're connected to a network, so maybe it means "talking to wi-fi" or something like that. |
