Unhappy Dial out Problem

Please Login to Remove!

Here's a strange problem. I recently bought a BB Torch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and used it with a local SIM card. I'm working in Qatar at present, where I have a local number and SIM. When I arrived here from Malaysia, I changed out the Malaysia SIM for my Qatar one. After a lot of teething problems getting it to work with the local providers BB Service, I eventually got it to work. Ok, now to the issue

If I dial a local number from my Torch (without using a Country code), the Torch automatically precedes the number with the Malaysian International dialing code of +60. So I can never connect to any of my local contacts without having to precede the number with the Qatar International Dialing code of +974

What's that about?
