Must say i have had this problem since after my first upgrade, OS that is

the screen and trackpad freezes, i have to press the screen lock key, then unlock it and it's fine again

what gives?
im on .576 now

Sounds like you might have an incompatible or corrupt theme or file.

Have you tried a battery pull?

Might also try wiping with Jl_cmdr (see the FAQ) nd then reloading the OS. Try .546.

it has lessened, but the problem is still there

I had a similar problem when I upgraded from 6.0.0.546 to 6.0.0.576.

It would happen after the the phone was removed from charger/PC USB.

The only way I found to resolve it was to revert back to .546 but with no backup option selected = clean install. I then had to reinstall all my apps :(
