Sorry for the Duplicate, but I need help and wanted to post here in case this is unique to Torch with new OS Version.
I am having an issue logging into "Email Setup" in the settings of my BlackBerry Torch 9800. I can access the BIS online (AT&T), and I resent the service books (twice) and did a battery pull (twice), but I am unable to verify a new account I added online so that I can sync contacts and Calendar. I too, just updated the OS a couple weeks ago, per the message that appeared on my screen from AT&T.
When I try to log into email settings on my Torch 9800 to confirm the email I setup in BIS online, I get a message that reads "The information you provided is incorrect. Retype your user name and password. Your user name and password are case sensitive." (it seems that the device does not even check the information and displays this message no matter what)
Then, when I try to do a search for forgotten password, I also get an error that reads "Your device encountered a problem with this application's server. Select OK and repeat the action to try again." The device does try to process, but then displays the message.
I am using the same logon and password that I used for BIS. The same one that was saved on my Torch.
I am fairly tech savvy, but will be the 1st to admit that I am lost here.
Again to recap -
- have rebooted (battery pull) and sent service books from BIS (online) 2 times. Still not able to access the email setup on my BlackBerry Torch 9800 (AT&T). Just updated to 6.0 Bundle 2647 (v220.127.116.110, Platform 18.104.22.168)
