BlackBerry 9810 Issue Hi all, I bought a BB 9810 last week and it is such a great upgrade from my Curve 9300! I have one issue with the typing on the phone though. Is there a way to turn off the underline thing that comes up when typing and pressing the trackpad after for it to pop up word substitutes? I've gone through all the settings and I'm not quite sure what I am looking for. I saw an option for Word Substitutions but AFAIK, these are words that substitute for predicitive text(?) Its just annoying as I type shorthand when talking to friends over BBM or SMS (lol, brb, wuu2 etc) and I press the trackpad to send the message rather than pressing send on the touch screen. So I was wondering if anyone knows how to turn this off? Thanks in advance, Charlie |
Re: BlackBerry 9810 Issue do you mean the setting you can alter under:- Options>Typing and Language>Typing>Virtual Keyboard>Style (change to Direct) ? Hope I've helped |
Re: BlackBerry 9810 Issue Hi, I found that setting myself and both the Virtual and Physical keyboards are set to Direct, but this hasn't stopped the annoying word substitution thing coming up when pressing in the trackpad. |
Re: BlackBerry 9810 Issue Go to text message. Choose options> disable word substitution. This may help, not sure. |
Re: BlackBerry 9810 Issue Tried that too but to no avail. I think its just something I am going to have to learn to live with, thanks anyway guys. |
