No Operating System In 9800 Torch

I just had a 9800 torch givin to me..but there is no o.s in it when i turn it on all it says is No application linked(factory os)

is there a way to get the operating system back in this....thanks

all my daughter does is really just text..so after i get a operating system back in this i will have to unlock the phone so i can buy phone cards instead of a plan is that possible.

See the latest OS thread for your model BlackBerry in the respective sub-forum. Follow the directions and see if you can install the OS.

Searching around I found threads at other forums. I'm not certain you will be able to install the OS, but won't know until you try.
