Default Caanot setup BES account

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all

I had a BES account setup on my Torch 9800. Wiped the email settings - Options > Security > Security Wipe with only Emails selected. Now when i go to Setup and E-mail accounts it only gives me the option of setting up Yahoo, Gmail, Windows Live, Other and create new adress

It used to ask me here whether i want to setup a Internet Account or Enterprise Account. So how do i setup a BES account now on my device?

I did delete all the service books related to my BES account that was on the device as i thought that would've deleted the actual account but i didn't so i had to do the security wipe? Can any one you help maybe? PLEASE

You need to speak to your BES administrator.

I am the administrator. What could an administrator do to fix this?

Have you tried to re-register the BB via the Host Routing Table option?
Have the service books reappeared?

If you go into Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > Enterprise Activation, are you able to activate it there?

What is strange is the following: I activated BIS initially with the ISP....only BIS. I could use the BIS chatting and could also setup the BES email account. It worked perfectly until i did the security wipe. I phone the ISP 2 hours ago (to resend service books)who said BES is not activated on my account and that can prob be why i do not see the BlackBerry Enterprise option which makes sense but why could i see the option in the past in my question?

That is your issue. Why in the past, I couldn't tell you. But you know why you can't activate it now.

Perhaps the old service book (for BES) was there from a previous user.

The device had to have been activated with a BES data plan at one point.

new device out of the box will show Enterprise activation even with BIS only plan.

If on BES 5 express (works with BIS) you have to wipe it or get the activation app in app world to EA OTA
