Freezing up prob

I have a problem with my Torch where if i get a few text messages at once it will tend to freeze up for about 30 seconds then it will start working like it should... Also at times it is just plain slow and doesn't do processes as fast as it should... Any idea's on how to improve performance?

How much free memory do you have?

How many apps are installed?

I have about 15 apps.... about 90MB of free memory when the phone resets daily with Quick Pull
