new bb torch trackpad not working

Hi, my friend just bought a new bb torch, it was sealed and when he opened it,he discovered its trackpad just wouldn't work at all. Not even a bit :/ this is strange pls help, thanks

Have your friend return it to the shop from which it was purchased.
