nothing shows up on screen

I replaced the housing of my 9800 with a green one. Now its all back together and i put my battery in and the lights for the buttons light up and the red light blinks on for like 3 sec. the off for 10 sec. and it keeps doing this but the screen stays black. I plugged it into my computer to try charging it but it connects and disconnects continuously. I also have another battery but neither work. Please help me.

Check the display ribbon cable. If it was not reconnected perfectly, or if it was damaged/pinched you will have to replace it.
