hi well i live in UAE - United Arab Emirates - and bold 9900 runs on the carrier Etisalat so can it be unlocked to free sim so i can use it on any other carrier ?!

I have a similar situation like Saleh1111's. I am in UAE and have an Etisalat locked bb9900.
1. Would the unlock be possible
2. In case a future update comes for the OS, will the phone get locked again.
3. Can i use the same key to unlock it if at all it locks again?

Please clear these doubts so that I can get ahead with unlocking my bb.

2 & 3. Once unlocked, always unlocked. An OS update does not relock the device.
