I have a Duracell PPS2 power reserve USB charger that claims to work with blackberries. It does work with my gf's torch but not my 9900. When I plug it in the clock comes up then I get a message saying my blackberry can't charge using this device.

Why?

It may be that it provides enough current to charge the torch but not enough for the 9900.

You should probably ask the makers of the charger.

Just get a RIM original charger...
