Default Music services failed to load?

Please Login to Remove!

I have been using Blackberry Desktop Manager to sync my music to my phone. It has been working fine until yesterday when I plugged it in and it read 'Music services failed to load, an unexpected error occurred'. I have rebooted both the device and my laptop and it still won't work. Why is this?

Did you do a cold reboot, or just restart?

For what it's worth, i had this with an older version of desktop manager, but it didn't just happen out of the blue; it started when I upgraded to that version, and nothing I did fixed it until the next upgrade. If it has happened to you just all of the sudden, I'm surprised.

If a cold reboot doesn't fix it, and if you aren't running the latest version, then my advice is upgrade. If you are running the latest version, then do a clean uninstall and then reinstall desktop manager.

EDIT: An afterthought...See http://supportforums.blackberry.com/...ed/td-p/674029. It wasn't the answer for me at the time, but maybe for you. I have a hunch it is, especially as it sounds things were working until suddenly they weren't.

I did a battery pull. I tried the suggestion from the link that you provided and no luck. I just tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling desktop manager as you suggested and it is still reading the same message. I am running the latest version of desktop manager and my phone software is 7.0 bundle 1465

I really don't think it has anything to do with the handset.

Best advice I have is search on that exact error message and see if you find anything new. As you probably noticed, that link I posted is from a while back. Maybe there's something new happening, or maybe same old problem but new information.

Wish I could offer more.

Okay i'll have another look around online. I appreciate your help with this. Do you think its worth emailing Blackberry support? I haven't had any experiences with them and don't know how good they are...

I have the latest version of itunes, have checked for broken shortcuts/missing files, still no luck. I'll keep looking on google as you suggested. If you find anything else please let me know.

Thanks,
Eliott

So this just started happening out of the blue? Is there anything you did either to the computer or to the handset right before the problem, anything?
