New Bold 9900 owner-How durable is the touch screen? Is it glass or plastic? Can anyone suggest a screen protector that doesn't leave bubbles? Unfortunately a hard plastic protector make the touch screen inoperative.

The touch screen is pretty durable. Some choose not to use a protector at all. I use an ishield one, some swear by zagg. It's all about preference, though some will have cut outs for your handset earpiece and notification and proximity sensor.

It's all about preference. Your choice.

I use a zagg shield, if you do it well you wont have bubbles.

Most of the places that sell the protectors will also install them for you if they involve messy applications and such.
