Did you buy the device new or used? Please provide more information, such as the exact problem.

Are you on T-mobile or Voda IT as your profile states?

If you can't get data on T-Mo then you won't get data with anyone else. Service books is the major problem as T-Mo doesn't support that device and therefore they do not have the service books.

If you want a BB, then my thought is you return the 9930 and get your money back and buy a device that your carrier supports.

i am on Tmo and the bb9930 is a new verizon unlocked. after talking to TMO on the phone, sending the service books, rebooting and so on, there was no way to register the device on the network, basically i could only use to make and receive calls and sms. i have a friend who has the same problem, buyt he put in a AT&T sim card and somehow hee was able to send and receive emails as well as bbm.

There is a thread in a sticky at the top of the 9500 section on making a 9530 work on AT&T and T-Mo. Not sure if that will help or not. The problem would be the service books. And from what I have read, you will only get EDGE on T-mo, nothing faster.

I am currently using an unlocked Verizon 9930 on AT&T. I can't imagine the steps to put it on T-Mobile would be radically different. Just ensure that you're on a BlackBerry data plan with T-Mobile. Load T-Mobile service books to the device. Correct the APNs to the T-Mobile equivalent. Battery pull. Done.
