After getting over the initial shock of 9930 being a 3G device on Verizon, I decided to ask all my fellow Blackberry users.
Are you happy with the internet speed of 9930? Has anyone been able to run a speed test using a tethered device?

I am seriously considering 9930, but coming from 9700 with terrible data speeds of AT&T, coupled with processor speed and slow OS, I am really concerned about what I would get from another 3G blackberry with substantially better hardware & software. With 9700 I could not listen to a simple 128 or even 64kbps radio streams, or listen to Pandora without getting cut-off once after every few songs.

Please let us know if you are happy with the multimedia/streaming/online speed of 9930 with Verizon (regardless of coverage).

Did you read through the 9900 section? Should be more than a few posts there.

I am reviewing and few caught my eye, but still it is not really referring to the network speed or multimedia experience on 9930, the section seem to be mostly 9900 crowd.

Bottom line: Verizon's 3G is decent and BlackBerry devices always suck for a multimedia experience. Hope that helps.
