Exclamation Charger

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Everybody!

I'm new here and my problem is that Friday(march 2nd 2012) i had a message saying that the usb for my charger is no good then Saturday it was fine no message and on Sunday (march 4 2012) i got again the same message . So what i did i took my battery out and put it back and it worked fine and it charged is it normal?

to be honest I'm pretty worried because i just got my Blackberry Bold 9900 a month ago.

Please Help!

Message? How did you receive the message? What exactly did it say?

Need to have more information to really help, such as the exact error message, where it is displayed, when it occurs, etc.

Perhaps the battery pull fixed it as it cures most problems.

I have had the exact same thing happen to my 9900 when I am charging from certain ports (USB, Wall Charger, etc...) I disconnect and reboot my phone, and connect it again. Never had the issue present itself after a battery pull.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the device itself. I have also had it after knocking my 9900 from the table, but the charger cable is still connected. I would not worry too much about it.

What did you do to the device just before this happened?

Are plugging in directly to the PC or using a USB HUB? If a HUB, plug directly into the PC. BBs do not like HUBs for some reason.

Default Re: Charger

I plugged my 9900 into my PB charger (as I always do, when at home). Busy doing things around the my place and maybe a 1/2 hour later check my phone. Phone was plugged in, but my device was not charging. Woke the phone up and had the following error msg on my screen;

"The charging source connected to your Blackberry device cannot charge your battery"

I unplugged the charger and tried a direct USB to my laptop, it worked. I plugged in the PB charger again, same error. Soft reset, reconnected, no problems. Only had that error happen to my 9900, charging off the PB charger. I haven't had a repeat of the error.

Still think it's a bug.

Hey, I'm also have the same problem here. This happened after I upgraded OS. I couldn't recharge with anything until I did a soft reset. So every night I have to do a soft reset.
