Default internet fast but downloading gives error or is VERY SLOW

Please help my 9900 internet is fast but downloading is slow is there a way to make it faster or what it is a new phone got it on the 6 july 2012 , is it still becouse its new that its slow or what please HELP

What are you comparing the speed to? Are you in an area with 3G or 4G coverage?

This is a problem on Vodacom in SA. I'm fairly certain they are throttling downloads.

If that the case with vodacom cause I face the same problem thy can kiss their number goodbye, my friend uses bb n he's on mtn n he's doing just fine.
