Blackberry 9930 Screen going blank
 

9930 Screen goes dark during phone calls,and always inside automobiles with GPS active.

Having major issues with Blackberry screen going blank or phone shutting
off completely. I have to reset by taking battery out 5-10 times a day.
When screen goes blank I still have service but don't know who is calling
or unable to see emails. Just wondering when contract is up on this one.

Unless it is some sort of hardware failure, you shouldn't be pulling your battery that many times in one year.

What version of the OS are you running? 7.1 or 7.0, are you using the stock OS that was already installed, or have you upgraded since these issues began. Have any of your mobile habits changed? Doing anything differently, added any services or apps to your device recently?

I'm running 7.1 OS, have not upgraded sense the issue began, no new services has been added. The problem began around the 19th of last month sporadically but has escalated to the current condition of every call.

I've had the same problem. Never had it power down but the screen goes blank and no button will bring it back. Only thing that will bring it back is to end the call. After a battery pull it's usually ok. What makes it worse, the problem is intermittent. Tough to pinpoint a pattern that makes this happen. I'm still on 7.0. Doesn't sound like 7.1 has addressed the issue either.
