Bold 9900 - Enter number whilst in call to dial afterwards Please tell me that in some way the Bold can do this, because I can't do this and it certainly would be pathetic if this cannot be done. Whilst in a call, I enter a number that the second party reads to me, so that I can call this number after the current call. Now every time the current call ends ( I end the call or I wait that the second party end the call ) the BB 9900 throws the number I entered away. The other day I entered a number to dial and before I could, I received an incoming call. I let the call end itself and surprise surprise, in such fashion it also throws the number away. Any idea what I should do ? Thanks:?:? |
Re: Bold 9900 - Enter number whilst in call to dial afterwards Here is what I might do. Set options to disable dial from home beforehand. When in the call, switch to the home screen. Use the D shortcut to open the notepad. Type the number. After ending the call, click the number on the notepad screen to dial. |
Re: Bold 9900 - Enter number whilst in call to dial afterwards So this is a feature not present? Sheesh even a old nokia can do this, not to mention Sony. BB really does have some strange ways. |
Re: Bold 9900 - Enter number whilst in call to dial afterwards I take your word the "feature" is not present. I've never tried what you describe. The steps I describe to switch screens and open notepad can be performed in an instant. There may be other ideas, as well. |
Re: Bold 9900 - Enter number whilst in call to dial afterwards Btw, please help. Where exactly do I find that option to turn off and also how do the D-shortcut work ? |
Re: Bold 9900 - Enter number whilst in call to dial afterwards While in a call, press Menu > Notes. Type in the information. Press the Escape key. End the call. Press Phone. Highlight the phone call. Press Menu > View > Call Notes. Open the information and there's the number. |
Re: Bold 9900 - Enter number whilst in call to dial afterwards If I recall correctly, the setting is in phone options. What you want to do is turn off.dial from home screen. You will have to open the phone app to dial, but it will enable keyboard shortcuts, such as D for notepad, U for calculator, M for messages, L for calendar, N for BBM, and so forth. When you are in a call, hold the menu key to bring up the switch app screen and select the home screen. You can then use the shortcuts to open calendar or tasks (T) or notepad. |
Re: Bold 9900 - Enter number whilst in call to dial afterwards Call notes? Cool! See, I said there are probably other ideas. |

Normally, well other plain phones, you type the number in call and when the call end that new number is there and you just press dial. Thanks for the tip so long |
Re: Bold 9900 - Enter number whilst in call to dial afterwards Highlight the number and click |

Re: Bold 9900 - Enter number whilst in call to dial afterwards For what it's worth, in a test I did I was able to click on the number I typed in the note, using the trackpad, then select call number from the choices at the prompt. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile |
