Default Newb Question--Can I Sync OTA w/Outlook on BIS?

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8310 on AT&T BIS. I would like to sync OTA, like with my Nextel BES, but I guessing that's not possible. If I have outlook on my home PC, can I somehow sync OTA?

Thanks....Jeff.

Not without BES.

I understand there is a commercial product coming available that would allow OTA BIS sync, but it is not available yet, only in early development.

Is that the mini-BES you speak of? Sounds like an exciting product for us BIS users.

Was the mini-BES the Unite! product available recently in Spain? Someone also posted on here about the potential availability of a new OTA sync product from a third-party as JSanders said.

The Unite product from RIM is one.

Another is coming from a third party which allows OTA backup of the device, and perhaps other features like sycing, etc.

You can also install the SyncML plugins for both your BB and Outlook, and sync them both to an online SyncML provider like Mobical.net.

BB plugin:
http://nexthaus.com/products_b_blackBerry.html

Outlook plugin:
http://nexthaus.com/products_b_outlook.html

Mobical website:
http://www.mobical.net

I use only the BB software and Mobical, don't touch Outlook - but it should work just fine I imagine.
