Default Periodic E-Mail Suspension: Is This Common/Normal?

Every so often (perhaps two or three times per year if I recall correctly), my BB receives an e-mail that notifies me that "...this e-mail account can no longer be used/is no longer activated" or something like that. I recently received this message, but deleted it after I fixed it, so I can't remember the exact wording. Anyway....

Sure enough, once that message is received, no e-mails come through to my BB, nor can I send any from my BB. I should mention that e-mails continue to come through to my "xxxxx@tmo.blackberry.net" address, but NOT to the e-mail address I have linked with my CompuServe ISP account. I log on to my provider website (T-Mobile) and go to the e-mail setup & management page, and sure enough....that particular e-mail account address is shown as being deactivated. I go through the steps to re-establish it, and then re-send the services books (a step that wasn't outlined but I eventually figured out the first time this happened). It is not long before everything gets up and running again and the BB begins to receive the backlog of undelivered e-mails. Everything remains cool for several months before it suddenly happens again.

So.....I know how to remedy this situation when it happens, but I'm just curious: Is this supposed to happen periodically? What is the source of this occurrence; my mobile service provider? my ISP? BB? I ask this because I travel a great deal, and it could possibly happen when I am away from a computer and internet access for a good period of time, thus leaving me without e-mail communication via my BB.

Perhaps this is just a "normal" occurrence and a way for my e-mail provider,T-Mobile, or BB to insure that my linked e-mail continues to be valid by forcing me to re-set it now and then.

I've never read of this happening anywhere on this forum, even after doing a search about it. I'm just curious to know if this is normal.

Note: I'm using a BB 7100t, BWC (CompuServe), T-Mobile

It is your ISP's server. BIS polls the server every 15 minutes, if it cannot access it will dump. They are taking something off-line. Maintenance or whatever. Mine starting doing it almost every night between midnight and 1:00am. Sure enough, taking the server off-line for daily routines.
