Very easy - just download the OS to your PC (I usually put it on the desktop or a dedicated Blackberry folder) and then double click on it to run it. Just a few 'Next, Next, Next' and you're good to go.

Thanks. I don't see device software for the 8310 on AT&T's website yet, just the 8300. Should the 8300 be good enough for the destop, or do I need to get it from the CD in the box somehow? Wait on 8310 download to become available? Thanks.

You can not use the 8300 software on the 8310. 8310 software is available from other carriers (Vodafone, I think)..

I got a question. When you tinker with the OS on your PC then load it onto your Blackberry, does your settings, themes, etc change on the blackberry? Does the new OS basically overwrite everything with it's own stuff?
