I have just installed a bluetooth kit into my merc but when it connects the system downloads every contact from my microsoft outlook contacts which are way too many for the mercedes system. How can i arrange my outlook contacts so that when it connects to my bluetooth it only downlaods the telephone numbers I want it to?

One way to do it is to use the "categories" tag at the bottom of the contact. I have put "car" on the ones that I want to download. In the bluetooth Options, address book transfer, select categories only, Then set up "car" as the transfer category and it will only transfer the ones you have elected versus the entire address book.

Thanks very much for your advice, I've been away for a while so only just picked up the string.

I went thru my contacts and put all of the ones I wanted into the "personal" category as there was not a car option. I then went to Bluetooth options and chose "Select categories only" In options I selected the Personal option and saved it. But when I go to my car the full list keeps appearing and when I click Transfer Address Book the message "Transfer Failed refer to operator" appears. Any further suggestions?
