Thumbs up $50 off New T-Mobile Blackberrys (curve and pearl)

Hey all...check out this link from bb and tmo:

You can get $50 off a new line of service and pick a tmo bb (the curve or new pearl)...from speaking with a rep, it looks like what they essentially do is give you the mail in rebate as an instant rebate...

So if you were to get the new curve, instead of paying $299 and then doing a $50 MIR, you just pay $249 without any MIR...but the rep could have been wrong!

Heres the link: BlackBerry - Save $50 on a BlackBerry from T-Mobile

Cool. Always preferable to not have to monkey around with mail in rebates.

Hey how did you find these deals? did you have to talk to a rep or was this something you found online? I would like to try the curve out and for $200 I might try.

I got my Curve (with new service) from TMO last week. They said they'd price match (not Amazon) and that I'd just have to bring in a copy of the deal.
"Let's Talk" had a deal where the phone was free so I made a copy and took it to TMO they were able to match except for some "special rebate" the reseller offered and I'd still have to do the MIR so after I get said rebate I got my Curve for $50.
