Question Using the gmail app with HTML signatures enabled

Please Login to Remove!

I use the BetterGMail Firefox extension to enable HTML signatures in GMail when using Firefox. When I use the GMail app on my BB (8830 / Verizon), obviously the signature is not displayed correctly in the receiver's client because the GMail app doesn't send the message with the appropriate MIME encoding.

I'd rather not revert back to a text .sig, and I was wondering if anyone has a solution for this? I would be willing to have the GMail app on the BB provide a different .sig - in fact, that would be preferable.

BlackBerry does not send or receive HTML mail.

There are two apps which attempt best they can to interpret the HTML in a blackberry email (BBSmart and Empower). I don't think either one of them attempt to enable HTML in the sending, though.

I am not sure how the Gmail app on BB handles HTML.

Good luck and, welcome to the Forums.
