Remove BES Account Issue
So, I've had a BB with BES and BIS for a while. My company pushes down security settings that enforce a password on the phone. I got a new Blackberry and gave my old one to my husband. He doesn't work for my company and doesn't need the password. We had to call my company IT to get them to disable the password requirement policy for the phone.
When I called them, I had to sync up with my Corporate network again even though we already had the phone set up for him. We got the password thing disabled, but the phone thinks there's going to be a Lotus Notes enterprise account to activate now since I had to connect to my company. (Yes, we're still on LN. You can all feel bad for me later... :smile: )
So, all that to say that my husband does not have a LN account nor does he need it. We were able to set the default email account to the right BIS account, but LN still shows up as an account he can use on the phone. Anyone know how to get rid of that? Only solution I can think of is to wipe the handheld (since hubby just got it set up today anyway - wouldn't take much to get it back like we have it..), but certainly there's a better way.

Wiping the handheld is your best option to removing all of the extra things that were tied to your BES. On top of that, I would follow these instructions to remove any hidden BES policies that may be left on your device.
Unlocking the Blackberry
Since you add the BB back to the BES to get the password disabled the BB was associated an account on your company mail system. You should.
A. Perform a security wipe to remove everything from the BB.
B. Follow the direction in the attached link to remove the IT policy completely.
