Default ToDoMatrix Alerts not working

Please Login to Remove!

I just downloaded ToDoMatrix yesterday...what an awesome program. I cant seem to get the task alert to work though. I have configured it in my properties, changed the types of alerts, set multiple alerts, even set multiple tasks with alerts, neither of these have corrected the problem. Any suggestions?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Is the program running in the background? Make sure you are not exiting the program.

I have the same issue. The alarms are not working. I need to ping the Rex support folks to see what's going on.

Thumbs up Its ALIVE

I sent Rex Wireless a message and within an hour they were back to me with a solution. What particularly excites me about this is they got back to me on a Sunday morning (the web site clearly states that support is a Monday to Friday thing). The service is worth the price alone

For anyone who has the same issue i am posting the fix instructions below.

Hi Dwight,

If you never see a window, it is probably a stuck flag on initial
download. The resolution follows. If in fact you see the alert window
but no sound, these are NOT the right directions.... email us back.

1) Within ToDoMatrix on the BlackBerry, do a successful "backup to web"
command (found on the main menu)

+++ Do NOT proceed if backup does not complete successfully +++

2) Still within ToDoMatrix, do a "delete database" command (found on the
main menu)
3) This will drop you out to the main BlackBerry home screen
4) Wait 5 full seconds
5) Go back into ToDoMatrix, rejoin as an existing user, with correct
password and communication option
6) It will reload your data

Alerts should begin working. Let us know.

RE: Outlook /// We do not synchronize with Outlook today. However,
Outlook sync via the BlackBerry tasks conduit is in our next major
release and is the current focus of our developers. Right now, we offer
full screen PC and Mac access to one's ToDoMatrix and IdeaMatrix data
via our REXdesktop.com portal. We DO offer a one-time import with a
developer utility from an Outlook export to customers.

Thanks,

John J

Huh. That's pretty impressive service. It's an understatement to say that others (online companies) could learn from this example of how to provide awesome customer service.

While I wait for my 8310, ToDoMatrix (and IdeaMatrix) was one of the things that sold me on Blackberry over any other smartphone. I checked out their demos and I can't wait to get my hands on this. It's just what the doctor ordered.

I just had one of these myself.

I had a dumb problem with trying to change my profile data, struggled with trying to fix it, and gave up!

I sent an email last night, and this morning, the same John J. had sent me an email with the fix.

That IS impressive. I also LOVE the product.
