Default Outlook 2007 Calendar issues

Please Login to Remove!

I'm having a number of problems trying to sync my 8830 with Outlook 2007.

Desktop Manager repeatedly crashes. It has been doing this for a while, and after updating from 4.2.2.12 to 4.2.2.14 this has not changed at all.

My bb has been very inconsistent in syncing calendar events, sometimes events will only transfer in one direction, other times it only work the other way or not all (all in a few hours without changing any of the settings.)

A major cause of this, or possibly just a symptom of something else, is that Outlook lost a few recurring series of events (as in, when I opened up Outlook it alerted me about an upcoming event, but it said that it could not find the entry for the recurring series...). The events were still present on the bb, but they had become individual, non-recurring events. Eventually, the series came back both on outlook and the bb.

I can't figure out what is going on here, it doesn't seem to fit the logical problems of poor configuration or a simple bug. The only possibility that I've come up with that seems to fit this situation would be some type of corrupted file. However, I'm not sure how I would go about narrowing it down and further, or what I can do about it.

Any advice or reference to related DM issues would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

P.S.-If the case is corrupted files, I do not believe it is on the bb. I backed up the bb, cleared all the calendar data and synced it again but that did not resolve any of my problems.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Do you have any other intellisync software in your PC?

No, I only have Desktop manager (and device manger installed.) I'm syncing over a USB connection.

Do a search for this issue in the forum...there are previous threads that explain how to delete a profile through the Desktop Manager. That apparently cleans up the corruption issue that causes the crashes. If I could remember it, I'd link it for you.
