Default cant install blackberry messenger?

i used to have blackberry messenger on my 8700c and uninstalled it. now i want i browse to the blackberry help link on my 8700c and click on the link blackberry messenger and tried to download it. but then it said "sorry, your wireless service provider does not allow access to blackberry messenger for your device." i'm using at&t...i have see other blackberry device that has bb messenger. so that can't be right.

my question is how come i can't install bb messenger on my 8700c now? any1 know how to fix this problem? thx in advance.

You should be able to run Desktop Manager and reinstall the OS, making sure BB Messenger is checked as something to be included in the reinstall.

with newer OS you arent able to download as it is prt of the os now use desktop manager to load it
