During Call - Turn on full keyboard

Is there a way, during a phone call, to turn on the alpha characters on the keypad.

This would be useful on phone systems that allow you to enter text to do things such as searching for names.

Just type the text using the ALT key. The BlackBerry will dial the associated numbers.
