well, hey everyone, first of all, im new here, my name is mario. i wanna get the blackberry 7290 from ebay, and i am gonna buy it. my carrier is cingular, now att, and i was wondering one big thing, i have a 3g simcard. will it work? can i still use its functions normally? and one more thing, how is the internet? is it good looking? are pages like myspace wattered down? thx for ur help in advance.

Yes you can use your 3G sim card but you WILL NOT have 3 G service

And there is a good long thread here on the Forum about accesssing MySpace, they just made some changes for BB or something.

No. Not even close. Depending on service in the area you are in you will get EDGE service at best.

Yes it is good. But I would not recommend a BB for primary browsing. It is great in total (i.e. email, chat, phone, contacts, etc.).

I have used the tethered modem option to FTP small files from my laptop to a server without any major issue or delay. I will go back to tethering when 3G is available.

No one can answer that question except for you.

If your main purpose will be browse the internet on your BB, try to get at least a 8700g or c. Better screen. The 7100 screen is horrible in even cloudy sunlight.

... at the very least consider the keyboard. Many, many people dislike the SureType keyboard. Like other posts say, if you can afford it, or find it get yourself an 87XX model.
