I have a QWERTZ 8100 on T-Mobile Germany, using English (UK). I have no issues with switching to other languages (sometimes I use German and French) other than my brain stuggles

Sorry I can't help. Like I said I have QWERTZ keyboard and use German/French language input sometimes, but not Russian...not even installed, sorry.

This is a bug that was reported at RIM, but I do not have the SDR number. With none of the QWERTZ (8100, 8300, 8700, 8800) devices you can enter Russian, Arabic or Hebrew. You need a QWERTY devices to be able to type in these languages. RIM is working on this issue, but I have no information until when the problem will be solved.

I have 8310 with azerty keyboard, and i can change menu language from english to russian, but whatever i do i cannot change input locale to russian.
How do I do it?

not really sure what you want to do.

when i need to type in russian i press alt+enter, choose russian (russian federation) and type into russian.
