Default 8310 + Plantronics 590A = Soweet!!

Okay folks, tried this Plantronics unit in Reagan National Airport yesterday while waiting to get back to good ol' Fort Worth. Went out and bought them today at Fry's for $70 less then at "Airport Wireless". Work flawlessly with my 8310, providing all controls. Have just run about an hour and a half so far, but BB battery has hardly dipped.

They are a bit geeky, but come with a universal puck for use with other devices (or the BB, if you don't want to fire up bluetooth on the 8310), USB charging cable, home charger with two ends for charging puck and headset simultaneously, "in flight" cable, for using headset as wired without BT, a nice semi-rigid case. $250 MSRP, got for $129. Available cheaper online. Better sound quality than the wired buds, or any wired over the ear I have lying around. Volume exceeds all reasonable levels. Stereo phone conversations, and my wife says I sound like I'm talking straight into my phone.

I get about 20 feet coverage through up to two walls in my house and farther with no walls involved. Not bad.

Plantronics 590A
