Exclamation Exchange Email with BIS - can recv but can't send

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all

I recently got an 8320 and have been loving it. I got it setup with my School's Microsoft Exchange server via the OWA link to work with my T-Mobile BIS so I am able to receive all my emails properly.

However, when I try to SEND off the exchange account, I get a message stating: Message Status: Message included an invalid address

Now, I've tried typing out the whole email address, I've also removed my email address from the "reply-to" address and that' didn't work.

I tried calling the IT department at my school which was essentially a dead end. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It sounds like something wrong with your school's exchange server. Since you are on BIS, try to set up our going e-mail through the carrier or other ISP's SMTP server.

Take a look at this post, which may or may not help.

Actually I figured it out.

I had setup the reply-to address as my alias, not the actual mailbox on the Exchange server.

By deleting it I thought that would remedy it, but it defualted back to the alias, so I just changed it to the actual inbox name, and viola all is working well.

Now if only I could get it push instead of polling every 15mts

You could always have it forwarded through to Gmail and set Gmail to send through your Exchange account. No one would ever know you are using Gmail...it does push immediately.
