Text messages or SMS as they are called are very different, They are ones sent to a phone number. You have unlimited PIN messages and Emails send till your little thumbs fall off.

seems to me you are allowed 200 incoming text messages. my friend can send me text messages from his cellular south cell phone but you can't respond though...lol

I have a couple friends who cannot get it through their thick little skulls that I can't respond, so they keep SMSing me until I drive over to their houses and beat them w/ their inferior phones.

Remember, to reply to those sms messages, you have to use the email function, and you can find the right email addy for their phone's sms at freesms.1888usa.com.

There isnt always one. Talk to your friends and make sure you have their phone numbers. Nextel customer care can submit a ticket so another department can do a bit of research on who is smsing you, and that other department can stop unwanted spam, even if from a source unknown to you. However, if you have an idea of who is smsing you, just tell them to sign the messages, get their phone numbers, and use the phone numbers to reply via email.

Actually if you know the number of the person that sent you the message and the number is a North America number you can simply reply to their . Teleflip will route the message to the corresponding carrier and deliver the message. Teleflip.com is a free service that I just learned about today myself. It works well, however, you will not be able to directly reply.

Actually dogon, we found in some testing here that the teleflip messages charged us under Text / Numeric Paging (we are not on an unlimite plan). This may be somethign to watch out for.
