Default blackberry email address

i have the blackberry email address through verizon (

i rarely use it but have given it out on a few occasions, and now its getting flooded with spam. im sick of it, and want to delete it off my phone.

i logged into the verizon BIS blackberry website, and it says that i can delete that email address. my question is if i do this, and i decide in the future that i want another [email address] email address, will it let me create a new one?

i cant imagine i would, but i guess you should never say never.

For several other reasons I think you should at least have a bb address. However, treat it as more sacred, unless you intend to buy one of the bb anti-spam software programs.

I never recommend giving out that address. You have found probably the primary reason for not doing so. Also, it is only available on the BB so if email goes down (and it does), you can get the mail any other way. Plus you really don't own/control it. Your carrier can change it at any time and then all email going to the old address is lost.

Yep. I have done this several times. Like others have said don't give that address out, though. I mainly use it for forwarding from other addresses should I need to.
