Hi,

Just wondering if one can use the 8310 or the 8820 as a modem for the laptop?

We can do this now with the Nokia e62 but we'd like to move back to the blackberry.

If we can use either as a modem, would we need another service plan to make that happen or do we simply connect a cable from the phone to the laptop?

Would appreciate your help.

Yes, it can be done. Yes, you'll need a tethering plan from AT&T.

We have the Blackberry Personal now at $29.99. With the tether capability, it looks like it jumps to $49.99.

They are not supported, but I have had it working between an 8310 and my MacBook.

I had purchased the app initially for my 8700c.
