Hi,

We use unified messaging with our in-office Toshiba phone system. This allows us to send office voicemails to the users email account. These emails used to also show up on our bberrys (we use BIS), but one day it stopped. I can only assume that they are being flagged by RIMM's spam filters. I've spoken to them a couple of times, but they werent much help. I've tried setting up filters through BIS, but again no luck.

Any suggestions on what i may be able to do, or if its even possible to have RIMM unblock the address that these messages appear to be sent from? Its getting frustrating that these messages arent being delivered to the handhelds.

RIM doesn't have spam filters in place that would affect messages from getting to your BlackBerry.
It's probably your own spam or a/v filter.... or some other configuration issue. It's not RIM, that's for sure.

Is that correct? I thought I heard differently in the past. I've seen spam messages get past our internal spam filters that hit my Outlook box, but never reach my blackberry. Where could these be getting lost?

I've white-listed the address that these voicemail emails come from, so I would think they should get through without any issue. They show up in my Outlook account, but never get to my bberry

Turn off your filters and use the system. Find out if they are the problem for sure.

RIM does have spam filters for blackberry email addresses.

To workaround it, get yourself free GMail or Yahoo account. Add it to blackberry. Disable spam filtering in your new GMail/Yahoo address. Point voicemail emails to it. You should be getting them as fast as if they were sent to blackberry email address.

I disagree. There are no SPAM filters on the carrier email addresses.

I agree with the other posters concerning where the filter might be. My guess is that it is in your corporate antivirus or antispam applications.

Interesting, thanks for passing that link on. It seemed like they were filtering based on the behavior I see here. For certain spam messages to be delivered to my outlook account, but not my bberry seemed a little odd.
