Default Level 1 messages

Please Login to Remove!

I read about them, I knew nothing, and still know little, but I am right in assuming that it is along the lines of doing another "Exception" you can do it with ringtones and company email with a wildcard before the @

Just wanna make sure it is not more than what I think it is

You set messages as Level 1 on your BIS website using filters. It's a way of discriminating between certain messages. You can, for instance, set the BIS site to send all messages from [email address] to be level 1 and then they will show in red when you receive them on your BB. You can also make PIN messages level 1. You can also set different alerts for level 1 messages.

One of my favorite BlackBerry features is its ability to associate Level 1 e-mail with the holster's profile settings. When my 8320 is in its holster, I have it vibrate once for Level 1 messages (family and employer-related e-mail), twice for regular phone calls, and three times for phone calls from my family.

It would be nice if they came out with a program which offered us a different color per e-mail acct.

They do! And it shows html email as well. It's called BB Smart. I've been using it for 6 months and love it. There's a free trial period so you can check it out, and one of their guys is pretty active on this forum. One feature of BB Smart that I love is being able to choose the colors for displayed email according to account. Totally customizable. There's another html email add-on program but I don't know much about it. Do a search for html email and you'll find it.

Thank you for mentioning BB Smart.
I was referring to a program that discriminates from the message or inbox as opposed to message itself. If I'm wrong about BB Smart, please correct me

Is there a link on how to create level one messages. I am still sort a lost. A lot lost. I don't even know HTML mentioned above, it says how to creat it, but not even WHAT IT IS. I assume it is plain text mail like what I would use in yahoo? I use BIS, with no BES, and no company. Would this level 1 feature still be useful not using that company*company.com feature since I am not working now?

Do you know how to access your BIS acct from your PC?

That is the area where you placed your e-mail accts for your device
Within each each e-mail acct, there should be a box for you to check to make it a level 1.

Within your e-mail on your device, click options-general options and you will find the loc(ion as to whether you want to make your PIN messages level 1 as well.

I'm on verizon, and I don't see anywhere on the site I use to set up email .... https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw where I can make certain email accounts level 1.
