Default Level 1 messages

Please Login to Remove!

I read about them, I knew nothing, and still know little, but I am right in assuming that it is along the lines of doing another "Exception" you can do it with ringtones and company email with a wildcard before the @

Just wanna make sure it is not more than what I think it is

You set messages as Level 1 on your BIS website using filters. It's a way of discriminating between certain messages. You can, for instance, set the BIS site to send all messages from [email address] to be level 1 and then they will show in red when you receive them on your BB. You can also make PIN messages level 1. You can also set different alerts for level 1 messages.

One of my favorite BlackBerry features is its ability to associate Level 1 e-mail with the holster's profile settings. When my 8320 is in its holster, I have it vibrate once for Level 1 messages (family and employer-related e-mail), twice for regular phone calls, and three times for phone calls from my family.

They do! And it shows html email as well. It's called BB Smart. I've been using it for 6 months and love it. There's a free trial period so you can check it out, and one of their guys is pretty active on this forum. One feature of BB Smart that I love is being able to choose the colors for displayed email according to account. Totally customizable. There's another html email add-on program but I don't know much about it. Do a search for html email and you'll find it.

Thank you for mentioning BB Smart.
I was referring to a program that discriminates from the message or inbox as opposed to message itself. If I'm wrong about BB Smart, please correct me

Is there a link on how to create level one messages. I am still sort a lost. A lot lost. I don't even know HTML mentioned above, it says how to creat it, but not even WHAT IT IS. I assume it is plain text mail like what I would use in yahoo? I use BIS, with no BES, and no company. Would this level 1 feature still be useful not using that company*company.com feature since I am not working now?

Do you know how to access your BIS acct from your PC?

That is the area where you placed your e-mail accts for your device
Within each each e-mail acct, there should be a box for you to check to make it a level 1.

Within your e-mail on your device, click options-general options and you will find the loc(ion as to whether you want to make your PIN messages level 1 as well.

ah now we are getting somewhere. that was the ? i meant to ask. I was confused when it was said from my BIS website. So, in answer to your ?, no I do not know. that confuses me. Is that where I change my email settings on Tmo's website?

Yes, it's where you change your email settings on TMo's website. That is called the BIS site.

I'm on verizon, and I don't see anywhere on the site I use to set up email .... https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw where I can make certain email accounts level 1.
