Default Viewing Public Calendar

Please Login to Remove!

First off, I'm new at blackberrying, so forgive my naivete. I want to figure out how to be able to view a calendar in public folders on my company's blackberries. Some of us have laptops running through an enterprise server and some of us use desktops. There's one main, shared Outlook calendar we all use, but we can't figure out how to be able to view it on our blackberries.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Post this in the BES forum for better coverage from a BES admin that will be able to help you.

To view public calendar on BB. Open Desktop manager and go to Intellisync.
Click on Configure PIM
For Calenander, choose MS Outlook (You can't use wireless sync when synching to public folders)
Then choose Browse.
Navigate to your public folder/calendar and selsect it.
Click OK to get out of everything and sync.
The public folder calendar should be on your BB with your personal calendar but the BB won't sync the public down to your desktop.
Note that when synching to two calendars, one is bold. That is the dfault that gets changed when a change is made on the device.
Hope this helps.

Yes, that helps. But what about people that don't use a desktop computer, like me? I never synch hard-wire to my laptop, it goes through the server. Can I see a public calendar?

In BES 4.0 for MS Exchange you can't sync public folders of any kind (this includes calendars)for devices that only use over the air sync.
This is a very frustrating limitation that is being discussed here:

jhoffa34, instead of tacking onto another thread, you will probably get a better response if you create a thread of your own, with a descriptive title asking for help.

We have implemented this Add2Exchange product but this product is very
unstable. Appointments entered from the BB doesn't show up in the public calendar and vice versa. So this is not a good solution. You cannot rely on this product. I think we have to wait for BES 5.0 (argon) !

Disregard that.
Are you freakin kidding me dangerousbehavior? This has definitely been answered before. Tell him to try a search first. You should never tell a n00b to create a new thread on something that has been covered before. He will be eaten alive.
