Without a doubt, most BB users view the device as primarily an email device. However, since I have started to use the phone on my 7230 and gotten rid of my other cell phones, and since the truth is that of all the devices that most people NEED to have on them all the time the phone tends to be by far the most important, the reality is that my BB is:

my phone...
it's also a heck of a good email device...
and when I need to get in touch with those uneducated cell phone users, it's a really great SMS device...
and I keep pictures of my family in a small slide show java application I modified...
and I enjoy the odd game here and there...
and I have found that the 7230 makes a pretty mean PB&J sandwich...

:D

I use my 7510 for everything, the biggest is Email and Phone, I also use saleforce.com. I love the calender for Logging results of meetings and setting up follow ups. In the past I have used a pocket pc for all of this now it is one handheld and typing is easier then anything else I ever used

For me? E-mail, e-mail and e-mail!!!

Secondarily, I really rely on the PIM functionality to keep my head on straight. If it weren't for that, I'd be totally lost all the time.

I'd love to have a GPS application for navigation, but I'll just have to wait for that.

For me the attraction of the BB was to only require one device clipped to my belt. I was actually skeptical about the usefulness of wireless email, but no longer. Using Message Alerts I can immediatelly get to the most important messages.
