Hello All,
I'm a veteran Palm/PocketPC user but a new Blackberry guy (7290 on T-Mobile)

Concerning the screen, does it blank off on its own or is there a way to turn off the screen without turning off the wireless device as a whole? On a typical PDA or PDA Phone, you press the power button to turn the screen off (but leave the phone on) - basically you are putting it in standby. But on the 7290, it appears the screen is always on. It will turn off the backlight and you can throw up a T-Mobile logo as a sort of screensaver based on the settings in Options/Screen-Keyboard. But thre doesn't appear to be a way to just turn off the screen without turning the device completely off - including wireless.
Am I missing something here or is this the way it works on Blackberries? I know they are "always on" devices, but I didn't think it meant the screen too

Isn't screen burn a problem over time?
Sorry for such a basic question here, buit I searched here and in Google and I can't finds a word about screen blanking. Thanks...
