Default best way to text?

Please Login to Remove!

Okay. I just got the Blackberry 8830. I'm trying to learn this thing. I came from a Treo 650 Palm. I'm trying to figure out the best way to text. So far I'm not a big fan of the MESSAGES application that keeps a copy of everything that happens on the phone (missed calls, outgoing texts, incoming texts, etc). Is there some app that would just keep track of the text messages and maybe even keep them in threads by contact?

I guess I'm just used to this on the Palm and like the way it handled text messages. Thanks for the tips.

There are settings under Messages >Options to separate out call logs from the Message list as well as separate out SMS from emails.

To get rid of the call logs from the message list go to the Phone app by pressing the green phone button. Then hit menu and go to Options. Then go to Call Logging and select "None."

To separate out SMS from Emails go to Messages >Options >General Options and scroll to the bottom and select "Separate" under SMS and Email Inboxes.
