HELP - Noob Alert (well we all gotta start sometime)

I have a Vodafone 7100v and I am looking to use it to have all my contacts and email with me when I am out of the office. Now our business doesnt have a BES and I doubt anytime soon that they will - so I am looking for the best way to connect: I have listed what I have tried and our system setup - hope some1 understands my babble and can help.

We use an IMAP server which is accessed on my PC via (MS OUTLOOK\Express client) however this account does not reside under the Personal Folders Area but within another created when the account is: My INBOX and FOLDERS are sort of virtual as you are accessing the server each time you enter - no emails are stored on the PC only the contacts

I mention this as when I tried the re-direct option from my PC it only noticed my Personal folders which has an empty inbox and no folders.

I have also thought of the using a account however I can only see this casuing more problems than it solves (maybe I am wrong here) and how would this work - from begining to end?.

What I was looking for was my Blackberry to be able to access the IMAP server directly and check for email every so often set up the IP address username and passwords and go. - (I know this sounds like a PDA kind of thing) but is this possible?

I can't speak for the IMAP issue as I don't know if the Blackberry can retrieve email from an IMAP server or not.

Forwarding to your @carrier.blackberry.net address is an easy solution. The down side is that you'll have to delete email on your Blackberry and then delete email from the account you're forwarding from. Other than that, I can't think of any other "problems"...
