Default Really need help with multiple email accounts!

Please Login to Remove!

I work for a company where I can't use my personal BB on their BES, so I'm using a application called 'Wireless Mail by Martin Scott' to forward work email to my BB account. It's on Lotus Notes (gag), but it works fine- other than the fact that I have to read all my mail twice. While traveling, it's a lifesaver.

My personal email is where I really could use some help. I have a VERY small business - and 3 different email accounts to manage. They are all Verizon email accounts- and I can only find POP3 connection information. Does anyone know if you can check Verizon email via an IMAP connection?

Biggest priority- I need a method to only review mail one time per message. I don't want all mail dumping into one box- or it will be a mess to manage. I've setup each mail account on the BB- but now must handle all mail twice- with no delete or unread sych, etc., it's a mess. I really want the ability to delete messages on the BlackBerry- and have them removed from the server so I don't see them again on my computer. Also- to flag messages correctly as being read is critical. I'm drowning in hundreds of messages a day.

I'm a AT&T customer- currently using BIS. I've looked into BES hosting via a company, but it seems they only offer hosting to one address.

So, if you were me- with 1 office email, 3 more separate email accounts, and would even consider purchasing a small server to do this, can someone give me an affordable solution to solve my crisis?

I realize I may not be able to handle the office mail situation, but need help with the 3 Verizon accounts.

I have a computer at home running 24/7, so I can use that if it helps.

Any suggestions? I appreciate it!

Do you have access to your work email via the Web? Do you have VPN access from home?

Unfortunately, I only have access to office email via a company laptop and VPN, so it travels with me. Rumors of internet email access have been swirling, but nothing available to me today.

I'm assuming the office email is as good as it will get for now. If all goes well, perhaps one day the small business will eliminate my worry about the office mail

Unfortunately you can't get around having everything come into one folder - specifically, the "Messages" folder and also to a folder for each account. I have seen reports that EMPOWER will separate it out, but have also heard it is not that easy to use.

I don't know what you mean by having a "mess to manage" with 3 email accounts coming to the same folder. I have 9 and have not found it to be a problem. When I hit reply, it comes from the correct address.

I expected they'd all be showing in the "Messages" folder- sorry if I mis-spoke on that. If they are still viewable within a folder for each account- that would be fine. Heck- at this point, just to only work each message once is the priority. If they reply from the proper address, I'm sold. Can you help me get to where you are?

You can use the re-director on you laptop via VPN. The only limitation is that the laptop must be connected to forward the email. I know it's not the best solution but if you are using your BB for email I am guessing that means you don't have your laptop on you so it could be set-up running elsewhere.

Redirector is really flakey and if it isn't running, you are out of luck.

IMHO, stick with BIS.

Guys, I truly appreciate the input. With BIS, I'm getting the messages, I'm just trying to eliminate the need to review each message multiple times.

Disregarding the work email, VPN and all of that, if I only focus on my 3 personal Verizon email accounts, what should I do for those? I'm guessing this is possibly the only area I can improve. What can I do to only see each message once- and if I've read it or deleted it, show that on my computer when I use the PC?

Again, thanks for the help!

The only way I know of is to use a hosted BES, but I think you can only do one account, not 3. I don't know if a forward to a hosted BES solution would work or not.

Hey I think you might have hit on my problem Work says need to have laptop on to get email sent to but that won't work if I'm "on the road" Comcast email is pushing right to no matter if home PC is on/off whatever. But work says only get email to BB when laptop on and on VPN.

Please tell me there's another way.

Maybe I could fwd work email to personal email via a rule when traveling so I get ALL email on when mobile? I know it's multiple copies of email but I can just delete (doing it now on Comcast acct since only view email inside Outlook on home PC.)

How do you put more than one email to be connected to BB?
