Default 7100T Resetting Know Defect

Please Login to Remove!

New 7100T Black Berry from the get go with T-Mobile drops calls randomly and then hour glass appears and reset itself. Manufactor after three calls admitted problem. Was willing to take the device back. But since I had the phone over 14 days T Mobile negated the return and told me I would recieve the same device again. However there replacement pool of devices (7100T) is depleted and has a 9 day backorder due to the high failure rate. Adwarded winning service from T-Mobile ?

My 7100t is working great, the ear piece did fall off of it last week, and I call TMobile and they replaced it for free. TMobile is by far superior to Verizon and Cingular.

Your phone is resetting? Forget the last reply and read some of this:
7100T Refund from TMO for Rebooting Devices
Could this be the reason for the backlog?

Default 7100t drops the calls

Guys,

I"ve got 7100t from T-Mobile, unlocked and currently connected to Rogers (Ontario, Canada). When i place the call, that connecting and gives "Connected", but no sound and complete silence on the both ends...
I"m currently running 4.1.0.309. I also wiped the OS out with javaloader and installed the same OS again. May be 7100 cannot run the latest versions? If someone getting the same problems? Please help me...

Question JVM Error 529 and 535

Just downloaded AvantGo 0.9.25 (upgraded from 0.9.20) and handheld wont start, just keeps looping between JVM error 529 and 535.

Help please, need to keep this one a few more months until the pearl comes down to $149 after rebate

Your problem should probably be in another thread......but, anyway,

I hope you made backups because you're most likely going to have to use JL_CMDER to wipe the handheld. Search the forums for it. It'll come right up. Make sure Desktop Manager isn't running while you run JL_CMDER.

Once the device is wiped successfully you'll have a circle with a 507 error on the device.

Download and install the latest OS package for the 7100 device from here:

Latest Operating System Available For Each Blackberry Device

Once that is downloaded and installed to the PC, delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader.

Once that's done, plug in the BB, open Desktop Manager and run Application Loader. The DM will find the device and load the OS.

It's the version of the Operating System software that is installed on the device, like the version of Windows on a PC. To check your version go to Options >About. You should see a number that looks like 4.1.xx.xx. You can check what the latest version available is from the link I posted above.

Default No sound during calls after upgrade

Hi guys, I have the same exact problem as gennadiv. I tried Jloader and going to 4.1.0.351 on my 7100t. (It shipped with 4.1.0.309 and calls were working fine before the upgrade).

I haven't had any luck. I get the OS reloaded and everything (sync, calendar, etc) all works except that I have no sound during phone calls on either end. The call goes through (I call my home phone and it rings and I pick up) but both ends have no sound, except a very faint buzzing.

Anybody have any tips??

Thanks in advance.

I have had this problem too, as recently as today. I have had my 7100t for over a year and I think the problem is to do with disconnecting the wired ear piece.

Have you been using one?

Default No sound except with wired hands-free

Thanks for the tip!!

So the phone does work as long as you use the wired hands-free jack.

However, I don't know how I can reset the sound to work without having the wired handsfree connected.

I did find that if I have the hands-free connected and disconnect it in the middle of the call, it will switch to the regular phone speaker/mic.

Any ideas?

Default No sound problem fixed

Hmm... very strange...

Something I've done has fixed the problem. Here are the 2 possibilities that fixed it:

1) Plugged in wired hands-free and pulled it during a call to get the phone to switch back to using its own speaker/mic.
However, although it switched back during that call, when I made the next call without the hands-free it had switched back to the no sound problem.

2) Enabled and then disabled Bluetooth; perhaps this causes the wired/Bluetooth headset to get toggled back to native speaker/mic.

Good luck.

I found that pulling the ear piece while in the middle of a call, actually before the other person had hung up caused the problem.

I left the ear piece at home and jumped in my car bluetooth handsfree and I could not hear or speak to a caller. I got back home plugged back in the ear piece and made a call then waited for the call to completely finish and disconnected the ear piece the phone when back to normal.

YMMV
